The Vivtek dumbproxy is a quick little application of our Tcl HTTP client, which is
an AOLserver extension. It does nothing but package up your URL into an HTTP request, make
the request, and display the result in plaintext. So if you need to see the headers coming back from a server, or if you
want to check the Javascript in a page before your browser mangles it, the dumbproxy is useful. We wrote the dumbproxy
in about ten minutes after realizing we'd executed the vv_http client about a hundred times too many.
Anyway, if you want to see the code, it's here in all its blazing glory. It's so easy, even a child could do it! |
